In the backcountry of Colorado with friends, there's nothing better.

Labor Day weekend my wife Andrea, our friends Jed and Natalie, and I struck out on a backcountry adventure between Leadville and Minturn.  We spent the weekend eating good food, playing games, hiking, laughing, and of course taking photographs.  Our accommodations consisted of staying in a cabin/"hut" with strangers, and strange strangers.  (We would highly recommend it.)

Out of focus but I love it.

On top of Taylor Hill, yes, 12,000 foot mountains here are referred to as "hills".

 Leadville is down there somewhere.

Summer Sausage breakfast hash.  Yum!

 Leadville livin'.

Just the view on the drive home.
