The Trip of a Lifetime

This January my wife, her family and I had the chance to go on truly "the trip of a lifetime". We flew from Denver to Chicago where we met up with six other folks, and our awesome trip leader George DeJong of Under the Fig Tree. From there we made the long journey to Cairo Egypt via Istanbul. Over the course of the next 14 days we essentially traveled the route of the Israelite exodus, and explored the land of Christ. We spent time in Egypt, Jordan and Israel.

Our lives were forever impacted by this trip, and I can tell you all about that and our trip if and when you see me. Writing about it here just doesn't do it justice; plus I still feel in shock that it even happened. So for now I'll share some of my favorite photos.

If you have any inkling to go to The Holy Land, I without a doubt and without any reservation recommend traveling with George DeJong!

Best of 2014...

What a crazy - awesome year 2014 was! I shot weddings in Colorado, Missouri and even Mexico. I had a ton of shoots but best of all I got to spend time with people I love the most. Without further ado, here are some of my favorite images from this year.

Sean & Chloie - a midwest love story

I've known Sean for over 10 years, he was one of the first people I met when I moved to Colorado Springs. Since that time he has become like a brother to me. When he left The Springs to pursue a career and a new adventure in Kansas City I was really bummed. I have come around, I love that his time in KC has treated him very well. So well that he found his bride to be there.

Chloie is awesome! She is a school teacher, laughs (a lot), and isn't scared of adventure. No joke, she dropped everything two summers ago and moved to South America to take a job. With her fun personality and adventurous spirit she and Sean are a perfect match!

The love birds came out to The Springs a couple of weeks ago, and we went to the trolley car museum for a fun and unique engagement session. Yeah, I said "trolley car museum". Totally random but awesome.

In March I have the honor of being in Sean & Chloie's wedding!

Officer "Bobby" Jeffords Colorado Springs' Finest

I had the honor of doing a surprise photoshoot for my friend Officer "Bobby" Jeffords. He retires tomorrow after serving the City of Colorado Springs for 35 years, aka serving since I was one year old. He is a true gentleman, and always the "good cop" on any scene.

I'm better at photos than words (typically), and since the local paper did such a nice writeup on "Bobby J.", I'll let their words suffice.
