Inspiration thanks to a quiet home, music and whiskey...

Little by little I'm trying to regain the love I have for photography. It is easy for me to let time slip by, and then I'm like - "What the hell? Where did the last 2 years go?" Life hasn't been easy the last four years, but I still have so much to be thankful for. Especially my rad wife who loves to get away whether on a road trip or by plane to some far off destination.

"A calm and modest life brings more happiness
than the pursuit of success
combined with constant restlessness."
- Einstein

So here's to modest travels in beautiful places! Cheers!

These photos are from a week long road trip we took to the Tetons and Yellowstone in the fall of 2015.

Forgotten edits but not forgotten memories...

I have this bad habit of forgetting to edit my own personal projects or personal trips (which kills my wife). Here is one such example of that bad habit. These are some photos from an artists' retreat that I went on in the summer of 2015. A ragtag bunch set out from Colorado Springs and spent a weekend camping and adventuring near Independence Pass/Aspen. We were a group comprised of photographers, poets, writers and mixed media artists. It was a wonderful weekend full of campfires and deep conversations.

That weekend was a taste of the sense of community that I long for on a daily basis.
